Cookie Policy
The Matter Vault sets two cookies. Both are required for it to work. It sets nothing else, and it does not load anything from anyone else.
The two cookies

Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist for cookies that are not necessary — analytics, advertising, tracking across sites. The vault has none of those. Both cookies above are strictly necessary for the service you have asked for, and strictly-necessary cookies do not require consent under the GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive, the CCPA or any comparable law we are aware of. Showing you a banner would imply a choice that does not exist.
What the vault does not do
- No analytics or usage-measurement cookies.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party cookies of any kind.
- No fonts, scripts, images or other resources loaded from any other domain — so no other domain learns that you visited.
- No fingerprinting or local-storage tracking.
You can verify this yourself: every modern browser's developer tools will list the cookies and network requests a page makes.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the two above, you will not be able to sign in to the vault; there is no reduced-functionality mode, because there is no functionality without a session.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie, this page will name it, say what it is for, and — if it is not strictly necessary — we will ask before setting it.
